Stockholm's iconic City Hall, with its iconic golden Three Crowns spire, is a hallmark of the city's skyline and a prime example of national romantic architecture.

Designed by architect Ragnar Östberg, the City Hall is said to be comprised of over eight million bricks and stands a staggering 106 meters tall with the Swedish national coat of arms, the three crowns, at its pinnacle.

Within its magnificent exterior lie offices and meeting halls for politicians and officials, as well as opulent assembly rooms and exquisite works of art. The municipal council convenes in the Council Chamber, known as Rådssalen.

City Hall also plays host to the prestigious Nobel banquet, where guests dine in the Blue Hall before dancing in the Golden Hall, its walls adorned with 18 million golden mosaic tiles.

You’ll find guided tours are offered daily in Swedish and English, though subject to cancellation for events. During the summer months of May to September, the tower is open to the public and offers breathtaking views of the city from its height.
